Deputy Education Centre Manager (all genders)

Our Deputy Education Centre Manager is a person who contributes to the growth, strategy and smooth running of our Company-Owned Study Centre in Ilioupoli, Athens.
Alongside of the tasks in delivering instructions, supporting and proactively managing the study centre, the person supports the development and training of Instructor candidates across Kumon Europe and Africa.
The challenge in the role is not only to ensure the centre performs to Kumon standards, but also achieves high instructional standards.

  • Fixed term contract in full-time
  • Required hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 12 to 8pm
    There may be a necessity for these to be outside of normal working times.
  • Supporting and managing the centre.
  • Delivering high-quality Kumon maths and English instruction at the centre.
  • Responsible for supporting in training implementation for all Instructor candidates and associates.
  • Line Management of office centre assistants.
  • Marketing activities of the centre; Positive relationship management with the parents.
  • Assisting with project work – e.g. organising workshops, assisting in conference organisation.
  • Building and maintaining of the product knowledge.
  • Management of centre and student records.
  • Attending to supervision, internal/external trainings and meetings.
  • A university degree preferably in education or education management.
  • Proficiency in primary school level Maths and excellent English.
  • Proven experience of working with children: Ideally, you are interested in the long-term education development of children.
  • Experience of project work that meet & exceed targets.
  • Experience in Line Management.
  • Your personality:
    Self-motivation and self-management with workload.
    Excellent communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills.
    Proactive way of working with your individual initiative.
    Professional manner – You are enthusiastic, positive, motivated, diplomatic, confident and patient.
    Ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
